An assignor since he began in college 10 years ago, Matt is responsible for leading the MAT Assigning team including business planning/strategy, operations and client relations. A native of Northfield, Minnesota and graduate of St. Olaf College, Matt has been an active referee for 18 years and an NCAA official for 9. In his free time, Matt enjoys spending time with friends in Minneapolis, playing soccer recreationally (not well), and completing his MBA.
Known for the world’s best manners (seriously), Tyler joined the MAT Assigning team in 2015. Tyler’s responsibilities include managing day-to-communication, building the MAT referee pool and providing exceptional service. Also an NCAA official, Tyler has also been selected numerous years to attend Region II’s tournament with the Minnesota delegation. Tyler graduated from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill. in 2015 and currently resides in Eden Prairie.
Known for his sense of humor and love of Snapchat, Bryce joined the MAT Assigning team in 2013 and has been a tremendous asset ever since. An active referee himself, Bryce has attended the Region II Championships as a referee numerous times and was invited to the 2016 National Championships based on his performance. His responsibilities include day-to-day assigning/management. Bryce is a senior at the University of Minnesota.
Troy Cohrs joined the MAT team in 2011. A veteran collegiate referee (has refereed over 250 Division I matches and 600 Division II & III matches) and retired professional referee (has refereed over 150 professional or international friendly matches), Troy has been actively involved in promoting referee development across the state of Minnesota. He also is the head girls soccer coach at Northfield High School, and has taken two teams to the Minnesota State High School League State Tournament. Troy currently is serving as President of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Soccer Officials Association, the organization responsible for assigning and administration of collegiate matches in Minnesota, and handles the assigning for all Midwest Regional League games, all professional matches in Minnesota and Lakeville Soccer Club.
